The ballet “Madina” is based on the libretto by Emmanuelle de Villepin based on the novel “La ragazza che non voleva morire” (The girl who didn’t want to die). The choreography is by Mauro Bigonzetti and the music by Fabio Vacchi.
“Madina” returns to La Scala in Milan after its success at the world premiere. This project is unique in both its approach and themes and rarely found in ballet.
The work combines dance and theater and brings together words, song, music and body. It creates a synthesis of traditional and contemporary forms of musical theater that dissolve the boundaries between the different forms of expression.
“Madina” is a powerful piece that takes up current issues and conveys universal messages.
It invites the audience to reflect on the impact of violence, the value of life and the choices we make.
With its unique combination of dance, music and theatre, “Madina” promises to be an immersive and moving experience that will captivate viewers.
