The Gala Fracci honors the life and legacy of legendary Italian ballerina Carla Fracci, whose career was deeply connected with Teatro alla Scala. Since its launch in 2022, the gala has become a cherished fixture of the ballet season. The fifth edition in 2026 holds special significance, marking both her 90th birthday and the fifth anniversary of her passing. The program features excerpts from ballets that shaped Fracci’s storied career – from classical masterpieces like Giselle to dramatic works like Romeo and Juliet. Performed by the full La Scala ballet company and the school’s most promising students, the evening is enriched by the presence of acclaimed international guest dancers. Under the baton of conductor Kevin Rhodes, Gala Fracci becomes a sophisticated and emotional tribute to an artist whose name is synonymous with the beauty of classical ballet.
