The Package
Music trip to Milan for 3 days / 2 nights with exclusive program. The highlight is a visit to the famous Teatro alla Scala on the second evening to experience a magnificent performance in a world-famous environment with global stars.
It is always a bit difficult to know ahead what the new production of the Teatro alla Scala will bring. But you can rest assured that the Teatro alla Scala has selected a top team to create a outstanding performance with the selected choreographer and conductor. Manuel Legris a former dancer at the Paris Opera Ballet for 23 years and current head of the Vienna State Ballet will be responsible for choreography, dramaturgy and the libretto, while Kevin Rhodes, American super star conductor will guide the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra. The evening at La Scala including intermission will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. During the break you can go to the Toscanini Foyer to enjoy a Spumante and to see and be seen.
The 3 day city trip includes the hotel in your selected category, a gourmet dinner on the evening of the first day, a private walking tour of the city with a guide in your language, a visit to the La Scala Museum, premium tickets for the selected event at the Teatro alla Scala, and an aperitif before the performance. The schedule and program have been well accepted by our clients and we receive many compliments. However, should you wish to adjust the program, to maybe have a different private sightseeing tour or rather spend the day shopping, add an excursion to Lago di Como, an excursion to Cremona to the Stradivari Museum, then please let us know. The itinerary can be customized to your needs.
The Story
Sir Frederick Ashton, a Brittish ballet dancer and choreographer summarized the libretto in real simple terms:
“Boy loves girl, girl captured by bad man, girl restored to boy by god”.
As you can see, the story is rather simple. But we have to see what Manuel Legris and Jean-François Vazelle will make out of it for this new production.
The original libretto calls for 3 acts.
