Founded by the legendary Tadatsugu Sasaki, the company celebrates sixty years of international acclaim, performing on the world’s most prestigious stages from the Paris Opéra to La Scala. The company offers a triple bill that perfectly represents its artistic profile:
KAGUYAHIME (Prologue & Act I): The Italian premiere of “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter and the Moon Princess.” Jo Kanamori creates a contemporary vision of Japanese mythology set to the music of Claude Debussy.
THE KINGDOM OF THE SHADES (from La Bayadère): Marius Petipa’s brilliant choreography transports the audience into a world of pure white aesthetics and hypnotic synchronicity—a pinnacle of classical ballet.
THE RITE OF SPRING (Le Sacre du printemps): Maurice Béjart’s legendary interpretation of Stravinsky’s score. A ritualistic, almost primal dance exploring the encounter between man and woman, which has made history worldwide.
