Hike With A Mountain Guide
If you are not familiar with the Alps, we recommend a mountain guide to accompany your group. The high Alps are dangerous terrain. Sudden fog and changes in the weather are the order of the day. Even in summer there is often snow above 2000 m.
In order to be able to guide hikers and climbers in the high mountains, the mountain guides must be certified according to Italian law and entered in the professional register. There are several levels of mountain guides, hiking guides, mountain climbers, ski mountaineers, cascade climbers. Depending on the license, these may then accompany groups on tours at certain heights and on ascents of defined difficulty levels. Most mountain guides speak English or French in addition to Italian. There are hardly any German-speaking mountain guides on the Monviso Mountain.
If you would like to book a mountain guide, please state the level of difficulty and the preferred language. We might be able to find German and other languages as well now.
