The Hotel La Colletta is beautifully situated on the idyllic hilltop above Paesana. When you wake up you have a breathtaking view of the Monviso, which is illuminated by the sun in the morning. The family-run Hotel La Colletta is quietly located and modernly developed to a high standard and is an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours in the valley of the Po.
The family Hotel La Colletta is quietly located above the village of Paesana. Guests of the hotel and restaurant feel the natural welcoming of a family that pays attention to detail. The restaurant is ambitious serving delicous local cuisine with love and passion. The La Colletta Hotel Paesana has a 70-year family tradition. It was formerly known as Locanda della Colletta.
There are 12 comfortable rooms with TV, minibar, safe, hairdryer, and wireless internet connection. The furniture is typical of the mountains and is kept in a functional style. Each floor is identified by a color, the room furnishings are also in the colors of the floors blue and green. Most rooms have a large balcony with a beautiful view of the Monviso, the king of stone, which is particularly beautiful to look at early in the morning sun.
A large property surrounds the Hotel La Colletta with a playground for children, a sunbathing area with parasols and a parking space that is separated from the hotel by a tall hedge.
The mountain hotel is open all year for accommodation and restaurant.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor and is served on the terrace in summer. Lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant room, also for guests who do not stay at the Hotel Colletta.
For an espresso in between and in the evening there is a bar on the ground floor.
The cozy breakfast room is located on the 1st floor and offers a rich buffet with technical refinements that allow guests to prepare their meals freshly.
The breakfast buffet includes regional sausages and cheeses, fruit juices, eggs, yoghurt, muesli, fruit, freshly toasted bread, yoghurt.
The excellent cuisine offers the traditional flavors of Piedmont and the valleys of the Valle Po. This includes old recipes and excellent cuisine. Here the pasta is still homemade, the forest supplies mushrooms and chestnuts. The menu includes Souffles, wild boar, rabbit and trout from the Po.
If you are planning to go out for a hike or a cicle tour, you might want to order a lunch to carry out. The box lunch has to be requested the day before.
The La Colletta Hotel is a perfect starting point for passionate cyclists. It belongs to the “Cuneo Bike Hotels” and offers a service tailored to cyclists. The hotel La Colletta is a rental and service point for e-bikes. Bicycles with electric motors make pedaling easier and allow to cover long distances and reach places that are normally impossible.
The Hotel Colletta is a comfortable starting point for hikes to the Pian del Re and the Alpine lakes, Monviso, Oncino and the Mombracco. Certified mountain guides are available for trekking tours and mountain climbing.

There are many opportunities for excursions in the Po Valley. The hiking trails are well signposted. From walks through the chestnut forests to more difficult high-altitude hikes in the mountains of the Monviso, tours are available for every level of difficulty.
Lovers can admire the local flora and fauna of the Po Valley. With a little luck, you can see ibex, chamois, marmots, and eagles or even a rare species of salamander that is native to the Scottish Alps.
For athletes with climbing experience, there are countless options both in summer and in winter. There are climbing rocks on the Mombracco and of course on the Monviso with its 3841 meters, the entire valley dominates.
If you are not familiar with the Alps, we recommend a mountain guide to accompany your group. The high Alps are dangerous terrain. Sudden fog and changes in the weather are the order of the day. Even in summer there is often snow above 2000 m.
In order to be able to guide hikers and climbers in the high mountains, the mountain guides must be certified according to Italian law and entered in the professional register. There are several levels of mountain guides, hiking guides, mountain climbers, ski mountaineers, cascade climbers. Depending on the license, these may then accompany groups on tours at certain heights and on ascents of defined difficulty levels. Most mountain guides speak English or French in addition to Italian. There are hardly any German-speaking mountain guides on the Monviso Mountain.
