Luigi Nono’s composition “Como una ola de fuerza y luz” is an important work of contemporary music. It was completed in 1971 and is scored for soprano, piano, orchestra and magnetic tape. The composition combines traditional instruments with electronic sounds and creates a captivating and sonorous atmosphere. Nono’s music is known for its innovative sonic language and political message, and “Como una ola de fuerza y luz” is an outstanding example of his work.
Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 4 in C minor, Op. 43, is a monumental work of the 20th century. Written in 1935-1936, the symphony reflects Shostakovich’s personal and artistic struggle at a time of political oppression. The symphony is characterized by strong contrasts, dramatic developments and intense emotional expressions.
