The evening opens with Johannes Brahms’ poignant Schicksalslied (Song of Destiny)—a profound, lyrical meditation on human existence. It culminates in Felix Mendelssohn’s monumental Symphony No. 2, “Lobgesang” (Hymn of Praise).
