Bergamo and Brescia have been named Italian Capitals of Culture 2023. Two Lombardian cities share the title of Italian Capital of Culture.  The reason for this was the pandemic that hit the two provinces hardest in 2020. The culture should be a light in difficult times, give hope and courage.
Now the time has come, on January 20th the opening celebrations began with parades and festivals.
