“Holidays with Distance” in Italy after Covid-19

On the first pyramid of Montevecchia

Day 1 of the New Freedom

Dear Amici of Italy,

after 8 weeks of lockdown in Italy, we were allowed to leave the house for the first time on May 4, 2020, to do sports or go on a hike. What can I say? It doesn’t take much to be happy. Freedom and nature are very important for well being. During quarantine, we also worked for our guests and designed new tour suggestions. We thought that even after the borders were opened, the topic “Holidays In Italy With Distance” will still be relevant for a while. Therefore, active vacation and hiking in Italy could be an interesting topic for you. Since we are active hikers ourselves, we have now put our tours on this website for you as hiking suggestions. You can either do the hikes self-guided or with our local mountain guide that speaks your language. We have documented nice walks for you in Lombardy around the northern Italian lakes Lago Maggiore and Lake Como. We documented our hikes in Piedmont near the source of the Po river and created nice packages with overnight stays in small hotels.

Day 1 of the new freedom led us to the pyramids in Lombardy. Yes, you read it correctly, pyramids in Italy. There are man-made antic pyramids that are similar in shape and size to those in Egypt. The Celts used the sanctuary of Montevecchia between 400 and 500 BC. Read our hiking report on the pyramids of Montevecchia near Milan here.
