On August 20th, 2023 there will be a performance of "Das Rheingold" by Richard Wagner at the Belvedere di Villa Rufolo during the Ravello Festival 2023. The Dresden Festival Orchestra and Concerto Köln will perform together. It will be a special performance as the new edition of "Das Rheingold" will be presented with original historical instruments. This gives the performance an authentic and historically accurate sound. The Dresden Festival Orchestra and Concerto Köln are known for their outstanding musical skills and interpretation of classical music.

Concerts at the Ravello Festival
The Ravello Music Festival is a yearly series of concerts at the stunning Italian town of Ravello. The small town stands at the top of the world. At least, that is how it feels. Perched high on the cliffs above the Amalfi Coast, the view to the Mediterranean Sea below is to die for, that’s if the hairpin bends don’t kill you first! Rocky cliffs, lemon orchards, and the azure sea are just some of the characteristics that make Ravello one of the jewels in the crown of the Amalfi coastline.
Recover from your drive along the Amalfi Corniche – the wiggling and dizzying coast road. The views are spectacular and if your taxi or bus driver is Italian be warned it could feel like a close shave with death! Wander through the winding alleys and enjoy a glass of wine in the town’s main square and soak up the atmosphere.
Sunrise Concert
At the Ravello Music Festival, the celebrated sunrise concert takes place once a year in August. For this occasion, a magical stage is erected between heaven and sea, on which the musicians play. Spectators sit in the lush gardens of Villa Rufolo in Ravello with breathtaking views across the Amalfi Coast and watch the sunrise to the sound of beautiful music.
