The area near Lake Iseo is famous for its fine sparkling wines (spumante), which successfully compete with champagne. In this area rich in history with its small medieval towns and rolling hills you will find the best wineries in Franciacorta. You will be thrilled by a guided tour of a winery with a tasting of the fine Franciacorta wines.
Beautiful Lake Iseo in a Famous Wine Region
Lake Iseo, also called Sebino, is smaller and less well known than Lake Garda, but very romantically located and surrounded by nice little towns and mountains. It is located halfway between Verona and Milan. In the south of Lake Iseo is the wine region Franciacorta with its high-quality wines and sparkling wines.
You will discover the small village of Iseo before you start the boat trip. We will take you by private boat from Sulzano (or any other place on the lakeshore) for a 50 minutes mini-cruise while you will explore the small islands of Loreto and San Paolo and go ashore on the island of Monteisola. For groups we will organise lunch in a nice restaurant with a view over the lake and taste typical dishes and wine of the region.
Monteisola island ist the largest Italian lake island. There are no private cars on the island of Monteisola. Motorini are approved for the locals and there are minibuses.
The famous artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude chose Lake Iseo to install The Floating Piers , In June 2016 people could walk for two weeks on the lake from Sulzano to Monteisola Island and San Paolo. It was a unique and emotional experience to walk like Jesus across the water. Your guide will tell you about it.
During your three-day trip, you will stop in the hills of the Franciacorta wine-growing region, which is of the same quality as the Champagne region. You will visit a winery and taste the fine sparkling wine, which is served with typical products from the region.

The travel package will be organized individually according to your wishes and the price is fixed in a written offer according to the number of persons and the desired services. In case you arrive with your own car or coach, the price will, of course, be lower. The indicated price has been calculated for 20 participants incl. guide and tasting menu.
Notes
Depending on the group size, alternative boats are available. In case of bad weather, you can sit indoors. In case of thunderstorms, the boat trip on Lake Iseo might be cancelled. We have to live with that risk. Alternatives can be quickly arranged.
