Milan Historic Tram Ride with City Walk and Guide in Your Language
The historic tram is original from the 1920s. At the time, it was affectionately called “the old wooden leg” by the Milanese. The lovingly maintained individual pieces are taken out of the depot especially for you and rented exclusively for you.
An aperitif can be served on board with a few appetizers or there is even the possibility to enjoy a full dinner on a romantic trip through the evening Milan.The historic tram is made of wood and onboard, you will experience the unique atmosphere of a bygone era. For boarding and disembarking, wooden steps are automatically folded in and out with a special folding system at the stops, a system that was innovative for the early 20th century.
Impressive are the wing doors and sliding windows as well as the driver’s seat, all made of wood and brass. Take advantage of the time onboard and see the details of the historic tram.
The unpadded wooden benches are located on the long sides of the tram.You pass the main attractions in the city center with the most beautiful sights. During the journey, you will discover Teatro alla Scala in the piazza of the same name with the monument of Leonardo da Vinci. You pass the Castello Sforzesco, where the Sforza family and Leonardo lived, and the Parco Sempione behind the castle with the Arco della Pace. You can see the Renaissance church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, in whose refectory there is the famous Last Supper mural.

This product can only be booked as part of a complete travel program with hotel accommodation. Please let us know your requirements.
The price will be calculated for 30-70 participants with a guide and serves as an orientation. It will be recalculated with your request for a proposal. The tour can be organized for 20 to about 150 people at the same time. 20 to max 35 people can be carried per tram. The Milan Historic Tram Ride is organized for your group and carried out with a locally licensed tour guide in your desired language. All participants will receive headphones.
Duration of the tour one to one and a half hours. The total time with the city walk will be about three hours.
The basic price includes:
- Historic tram with driver for a ride of 100 minutes (longer on request)
- Licensed guide in your language for 3 hours
- Headphone system so you can hear the guide on the go

Arrival and Meeting Place
- The journey starts at Castello Sforzesco or near Cathedral Square. There the tram can stop for a few minutes. Otherwise, the tram will block the normal rail traffic
- Before the tour by tram, a walk through the center can be organized. This ensures that you arrive at the start point of the tram at the right time
- The trip to the center can be made either in your own coach or is organized by us
Notes
The event is organized exclusively for your group and no strangers participate can only be booked as part of a complete travel program with hotel accommodation. The route is predetermined by the Milan transport company. We have only limited influence on this. It depends on the availability of tracks. The tram is rail bound of course.
If we select a restaurant for lunch, dinner or cocktails after the tram ride, we will optimize the trip so that you arrive near the establishment. Please define your requirements for the restaurant as precisely as possible (rustic or elegant, private hall, fair budget per person)
