Don Quixote is a comic ballet and will be performed from December 23, 2023 to January 4, 2024 with choreography by Rudolf Nureev and Marius Petipa.
The music comes from the Austro-Hungarian ballet composer Ludwig (Léon) Minkus. The basis for the libretto is the famous novel Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes.
The Royal Swedish Opera production is under the direction of ballet director Clotilde Vayer. The orchestra and ballet of the Teatro di San Carlo Naples will play.
