The opera “Il barbiere di Siviglia” (The Barber of Seville) is one of the most famous operas by Gioachino Rossini and will be performed at La Scala in Milan from September 4th to 18th, 2023. The comic opera is an opera in two acts and was first performed in Rome in 1816. Gioachino Rossini is one of the most important Italian opera composers of “bel canto”, light opera music.
The September production is based on the 2021 version by Leo Muscato and will be performed preferably by young artists under the direction of Evelino Pidò.
