"Don Pasquale" by Gaetano Donizetti will be performed at La Scala in Milan in a production by Davide Livermore. This production brings Donizetti's bitter comedy into the melancholic atmosphere of Cinecittà's black and white films. Livermore creates a grey, sometimes dark, sometimes pearly scenery that is contrasted with the colorful costumes by Gianluca Falaschi.
