Pygmalion Ensemble • Ravello Festival 2026 July 17

Prepare for a legendary evening of Romantic music, ranging from deep, poetic introspection to triumphant symphonic grandeur. On Friday, 17 July, the highly acclaimed French Ensemble Pygmalion, led by its visionary conductor Raphaël Pichon, brings a breathtakingly curated program to the Belvedere of Villa Rufolo. Alongside the world-renowned baritone Stéphane Degout, they craft an evocative journey through twilight. Franz Schubert’s hauntingly beautiful lieder are seamlessly woven into the movements of his iconic “Unfinished” Symphony, creating a continuous, dramatic narrative of longing and dreams. This atmospheric first half gives way to the monumental warmth and epic scale of Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 1. A deeply moving, unforgettable concert experience high above the Amalfi Coast.
