Hiking in Liguria from Framura to Moneglia

The stretch of coast on the Ligurian coast from Framura via Moneglia leads to a very beautiful but still relatively unknown stretch of coast and is therefore a real insider tip. The VA Verde Azzurro trail passes through Deiva Marina. All three places are connected by the railway line, so that the hike can also be done in the opposite direction or start or end in Deiva Marina.

The starting point is Framura train station (train connection Sestri Levante – La Spezia) stop at Deiva Marina. The hike can be stopped at the train station. From Lemeglio, a minibus goes down to Moneglia. Destination: Moneglia train station (train connection Sestri Levante – La Spezia).

Stages of the Hike

Framura

Framura consists of several districts (Anzo, Ravecca, Setta, Costa), which are connected by stairs. From the station it goes steeply up stairs to the village about 300m above sea level. Through narrow streets you come past residential buildings and a small church to the center with school, pizzeria and a few small shops.

Moneglia

Moneglia is a typical holiday and bathing resort with well-tended beaches, a palm-fringed promenade with pizzerias, bars and ice cream parlors and a town center for strolling and shopping in the evening.
