Yevgeniy Onegin is a novel by Alexander Pushkin. It forms the basis for the ballet developed by John Cranko in 3 acts. The music is by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky from the opera of the same name.
The performance will be presented by the Teatro alla Scala Ballet Company and orchestra with conductor Felix Korobov. The star Roberto Bolle was engaged for the performances on 24, 26, 29 October and 7, 10 November. Marianela Nunez also makes a guest appearance on these days. John Cranko had his premiere for this piece with the Stuttgart Ballet in 1965.
