The 85º Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino is proud to announce an extraordinary event – the meeting of one of the most important groups of the last half century and beyond, The Who, with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra. This unforgettable performance is part of the “Firenze Rocks 2023” programming and promises to be a highlight of the festival.

The legendary British rock band, which will celebrate their 60th career anniversary next year, includes Florence in their four European stages and will bring the professors of the Orchestra del Maggio to the stage. This collaboration is a testament to the exceptional musical quality of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, one of the most respected orchestras in the world.

The tour, which follows The Who‘s recent tour of North America, saw the British ensemble perform in over 25 concerts to tremendous critical and public acclaim in the US and Canada. Once again, they will be accompanied by some of the finest orchestral formations in Italy, showcasing the powerful fusion of rock and classical music.
