The British conductor Daniel Harding rose to prominence at the age of 17 and was allowed to assist under Sir Simon Rattle and Claudio Abbado before becoming chief conductor of the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. He has already conducted the New Year’s Concert in Venice in 2011, 2015 and 2021.
