The opera Il Barbiere di Siviglia is one of the best know operas by Gioachino Rossini based on the libretto by Cesare Sterbini, after the play by Pierre Beaumarchais. The comic opera Il Barbiere di Siviglia in two acts was premiered in Rome in 1816. Gioachino Rossini has become famous as one of the most important Italian opera composers of the “belcanto”, the soft opera music. You get the best tickets from us. Your seats will be in the parquet area.
Unfortunately, we cannot influence the seat allocation within the parquet area. This is done by the theater. However, if you visit in two or three then these seats will be assigned next to each other.
If you can make your travel plans three months ahead of the performance then we can guarantee the availability of premium tickets.
There are a limited number of seats dedicated to wheelchair users and their party. Please let us know your needs.
Dress code
How to dress for the Theatre?
We often receive questions about the dress code. Please allow us to give suggestions. It’s primarily about making you feel comfortable and not out of place. There is no strict dress code.
Visiting the Theatre is an emotional experience and you are sitting in the best places the house has to offer. We recommend elegant evening wear, gentlemen are well advised in the Smoking or suit with bow tie. Absolute minimum is slags and jacket. We recommend an elegant dress to the ladies, it may, but does not have to be a long dress. You are also well dressed in elegant trousers. You are not rejected if he comes without a tie and she wears flat shoes, by no means. But you may feel better if you can empathize and be confident with yourself.
Taking pictures at San Carlo Opera House
Photography is permitted during breaks, but strictly prohibited during the performance. The photos may only be used privately, but may not be published or posted.
