The opera Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville) is one of the most famous operas by Gioachino Rossini and will be performed at the Arena di Verona from June 24th to July 22nd, 2023. The comic opera in two acts was first performed in Rome in 1816. Gioachino Rossini has become famous as one of the most important Italian opera composers of the “bel canto”, the soft opera music.
