The Story
In the lyrical fairy tale, the nymph Rusalka is the main character. She longs for love and allows herself to be transformed from a witch into a human. Rusalka loses his voice and remains silent. The prince meets Rusalka on his hunt and the two fall in love, but the nymph is not made for human love and the prince has other amusements.
The fairy tale ends tragically as Rusalka cannot transform back into a mermaid and the prince dies from her kiss.
Rusalka will be interpreted by the Ukrainian soprano Olga Bezsmertna.
